Aerotek in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Picker and Packer for a contract-to-hire role at our distribution center. The position requires on-site work in a newer facility with emphasis on accuracy and efficient packing processes.

Job description

Job Title: Picker and Packer Job Description

The Picker and Packer will be responsible for tagging items with stickers, checking boxes and products, and preparing them for shipping. This role involves taping boxes or using box cutters to open them. Utilizing pick tickets and order sheets to ensure accuracy is a key part of the job. Basic shipping, receiving, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, relocating, and stacking of products are also required. The Picker and Packer will pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code is essential. Assembling customer orders from stock, staging orders, and conveying them to packing stations or the shipping department according to customer or customer pick sheets will be part of the daily tasks.

Work Environment

The work environment is a newer warehouse that serves as a distribution center. It is an open bay, non-climate controlled facility equipped with large industrial fans to help reduce the heat. Water stations are available throughout the facility to ensure employee comfort.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
