Job summary

Aerotek in Lexington, KY is seeking a Warehouse Associate – Heavy Equipment Remanufacturing to support a remanufacturing operation. You will receive, inspect, and record parts, move materials to production lines, and assist with basic painting tasks in a safe environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and assisting with shipping. The role requires operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and working 10–12 hour shifts 4–5 days per week on 1st or 2nd shift.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing general warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, and pulling orders.

  • Capability to perform basic industrial painting tasks, including spray gun usage and paint booth work.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory transactions and proper inspection of incoming parts.
  • Willingness to work 10–12 hour shifts, 4–5 days per week (1st or 2nd shift).

Job Title: Warehouse Associate – Heavy Equipment Remanufacturing
Job Description

This role supports a heavy equipment remanufacturing operation by performing daily warehouse activities that keep production and inventory running smoothly. You will receive and inspect parts, manage inventory in the warehouse system, move materials to and from production lines, and support basic industrial painting tasks, all while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Receive new and core parts, inspect them for accuracy and condition, and ensure they meet required standards before processing.
  • Check incoming materials into the warehouse system and accurately record all transactions to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Pull parts from warehouse racking and deliver them to production lines in a timely and organized manner.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment safely to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
  • Stock parts in designated locations, organize storage areas, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Support production by performing general labor tasks such as material handling, loading, sanding, and paint preparation as needed.
  • Perform basic industrial painting of parts using spray guns and work in a paint booth when required, including proper preparation and finishing of parts.
  • Wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment when painting or performing tasks that require additional protection.
  • Follow all safety requirements, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist with shipping activities as needed, including staging, loading, and preparing products for outbound shipments.
  • Contribute to an open, collaborative, and employee-ownership culture by engaging with continuous improvement and business performance initiatives.

  • Comfort wearing a respirator and other required personal protective equipment when performing painting or related tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory transactions and proper inspection of incoming parts.
  • Ability to work safely in a heavy equipment remanufacturing environment, following all safety requirements and procedures.
  • Willingness and physical ability to work 10–12-hour shifts, 4–5 days per week, including on a 1st or 2nd shift schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a production, remanufacturing, or industrial environment involving engines, transmissions, or powertrains.
  • Background in general labor or assembly work supporting manufacturing or remanufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and basic warehouse documentation or data entry.
  • Comfort working around heavy equipment and mechanical components such as engines and powertrains.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production needs and support different tasks, including warehouse duties and painting.
  • Interest in contributing ideas to improve processes and support an open‑book, employee‑ownership culture.

Work Environment

The facility focuses on remanufacturing heavy equipment engines, transmissions, and powertrains, including teardown, cleaning, reassembly, testing, and painting of components. This is not a typical manufacturing environment and is not temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. Standard scheduling is based on 4x10‑hour shifts, with the expectation to work 10–12 hours per day, 4–5 days per week depending on production needs. First shift typically starts at 6:00 a.m., and second shift typically starts at 4:00 p.m. Work involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment, as well as working in and around a paint booth. When painting, employees wear a respirator and appropriate personal protective equipment in line with safety requirements. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $21.26/hr.
