Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction seeks a Correctional Facility Superintendent II (NS) for Franklin Correctional Center in Franklin County, NC. You will oversee daily operations of a medium custody facility, including custody, food service, HR, and maintenance, directing staff and offender management to meet safety and rehabilitation goals.

Starting at a senior level, you will set priorities, shape internal policies, hire and train personnel, and supervise up to 480 male offenders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of supervisory, administrative, or consultative experience in corrections or related work.

Responsibilities

Administer policies and procedures for the daily operation of a medium custody correctional facility.
Direct planning, directing, and management of services including custody, food service, HR, and maintenance.
Oversee offender population management and goal setting for facility components.
Hire, discipline, coach, and train employees; manage both 175 FTE and contract staff.
Coordinate across line staff and report to the Assistant Region Director.
