Qualifications

• High School or GED with two years six months of experience as a Correctional Officer, or two years as Correctional Officer II, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign lower-level custody staff to posts and evaluate performance to ensure custody and welfare of offenders.
• Oversee officer activities and ensure rules and procedures are followed per policy.
• Arrange work schedules to ensure shift coverage and may serve as Officer-in-Charge (OIC).
• Supervise offenders in restrictive housing and inspect personnel post readiness.
• Complete and review time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, and evaluations.
• Prepare incident reports and disciplinary documents as required.
