Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Manager for the Integrated Assessment Unit to lead patient safety, experience and quality within their area. The role is 37.5 hours per week and focuses on delivering high standards of care in a fast-paced Urgent and Emergency Care environment.

The Ward Manager will manage ward resources, collaborate with other ward managers, and drive safe, effective discharges while supporting 24-hour operations within the division.

Responsibilities

• To carry continuous responsibility and accountability for the management of the ward/department, making effective use of resources and ensuring the highest standards of patient care are achieved on a 24-hour basis.
• To work closely and collaboratively with other Ward Managers/Team Leaders to support roles and promote the corporate needs of the Urgent and Emergency Care Division.
• To work closely with clinic team leaders and have a knowledge base in urgent care.
• To carry continuous responsibility for the management of the designated area / team making effective use of resources and ensuring the highest standards of patient care are achieved on a 24 hours basis, ensuring safe and effective discharges for the relevant area
