Job summary

Willow Ward Wirral PICU is recruiting a Clinical Ward Manager for a 6-month fixed term period. Willow Ward Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is an inpatient service in West Cheshire for individuals with serious mental health conditions admitted for assessment and treatment.

You will lead a team delivering person-centred care, with line management of nursing and MDT staff, ensuring supervision and appraisal, and maintaining cost-effective resources in line with Trust policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Leads a team delivering person-centred care.
Ensures supervision and appraisal are conducted regularly.
Manages administrative and operational resources cost-effectively.
Coordinates multidisciplinary work and maintains communication across teams.
Carries out nursing procedures in line with the NMC Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

Provide line management and clinical leadership to nursing and MDT.
Ensure delivery of safe, compassionate care in accordance with Trust policies.
Lead high-quality, evidence-based practice with regular supervision.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary working and maintain effective interface with services.
Uphold the 6C’s in practice and resource management on the ward.
