Job summary

KBR is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support War Reserve Material operations in DoD settings. The role involves safely operating a range of heavy machinery, loading and transporting equipment, and supporting civil engineering and logistics tasks.

You will follow AFIs, TOs, OSHA, and safety standards; perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation. Candidates need 5+ years in heavy equipment, a U.S. driver's license, and the ability to obtain CAC and CDL-A if not held.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, operating procedures, load charts, and safety requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
• CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, and loaders.
• Safely load, unload, transport, and position heavy equipment on trailers and railcars.
• Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Maintain equipment utilization logs and operational documentation.
• Support airfield operations, civil engineering, logistics, and installation projects.
