KBR in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Equipment Support Team Mechanic (Engineer Heavy Equipment) to perform high-level preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy construction equipment. You will train and guide lower-level mechanics and handle other tasks as assigned.

The role requires a high school diploma, 4+ years of related work, and travel up to 70%. U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain CAC and base access, and deployment readiness within 72 hours are also required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Four years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent.
• Complete the Engineer Equipment Chief Course, or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid passport.
• Must have valid State Drivers License.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Travel required up to 70% of the time.
• Must be deployable within 72 hours.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC and Base Access.

Responsabilités

• Performs high level preventative maintenance and repairs to diesel engines and gasoline and diesel driven construction equipment such as tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, concrete mixers and other engine driven or towed construction equipment.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.
