Job summary

KBR is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support War Reserve Material (WRM) operations at Morón Air Base and other bases. The role involves operating, loading, transporting, and maintaining heavy equipment used in civil engineering, airfield maintenance, and logistics functions.

The incumbent will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and documentation, while adhering to safety standards and government regulations. A CDL A is preferred; US citizenship and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience operating heavy construction equipment and material handling equipment.
• Experience loading/unloading heavy equipment onto trailers and transport platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, operating procedures, load charts, and safety requirements.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Valid U.S. State Driver's License.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A preferred; ability to obtain if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, graders, loaders, and rough-terrain forklifts.
• Safely load, unload, transport, and position equipment on trailers, railcars, and aircraft.
• Perform inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on WRM equipment.
• Maintain logs and documentation for equipment usage and maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance, logistics, and airfield staff to support missions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, AFIs, TOs, OSHA, and host nation regulations.
