Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Wall Panel Designer to develop plans for the quoting and production of wall panels. You will create drawings from customer blueprints, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for fabrication.

The role requires reading blueprints, knowledge of framing practices, strong attention to detail, and effective communication with production teams to resolve issues and support customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing residential and commercial wall panels
• Read and comprehend blueprints
• Knowledge of standard construction practices, codes and carpentry
• Efficient and able to complete orders within a given deadline
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S.

Responsibilities

• Creates design illustrations based from blueprints to produce working drawings for fabrication.
• Completes and finalizes designs for production and assembly.
• Evaluates designs to ensure that design standards are being met.
• Reviews and analyzes specifications, blueprints, engineered drawings and related designs to determine factors affecting design of the wall panels.
• Communicates with production teams, customers and Store Managers to ensure designs are accurate throughout the process.
• Assists stores in responding to questions/concerns from customers.
