Job summary

Technical Framing Solutions is seeking an experienced Wall Panel Designer to develop production-ready wood-framed wall panel designs from architectural and structural documents.

You will translate construction details into shop drawings, mentor junior designers, and ensure QC across drawings while collaborating with the design team on RFIs and Change Orders. Office-based role with potential travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience using MiTek Sapphire software.
• 2+ years framing or wood framed building experience.
• Experience with CAD and design software.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Proficient in reading/understanding architectural and structural plans.

Responsibilities

• Create wall panel designs.
• Train and mentor less experienced designers.
• Maintain design standards and processes.
• Provide QC on designed shop drawings.
• Assist lead designer or design manager in creation of RFIs, Change Orders, Material Submittals, and Fieldwire Submissions.
• Enter weekly hours worked per job/level in ADP.
