Job summary

Alzheimer’s Association seeks a Manager, Walk to End Alzheimer’s to lead the implementation of Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, drive fundraising goals, and cultivate community and corporate partnerships. Based in Columbus with a Dublin office, this role requires frequent regional travel, some nights/weekends, and active volunteer leadership.

The role emphasizes recruiting and coaching volunteers, building sponsorships, and coordinating committees to grow Walk events year over year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals.
• Preferred peer-to-peer fundraising experience or equivalent sales background.
• Confident, goal-oriented, positive self-starter able to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with internal and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to form and develop corporate relationships and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Delaware, Marion, and Zanesville Ohio.
• Recruit, train, coach, and manage volunteers to meet revenue and team goals.
• Build relationships with volunteers, participants, sponsors and community leaders and with corporate partners.
• Develop volunteer committees, recruitment/retention plans, budgets, timelines, marketing and logistics.
• Cultivate Walk teams, sponsors and walkers to achieve development goals.
• Maximize team participation to reach revenue goals and provide fundraising guidance and support.
• Maintain relationships with sponsors and constituents to ensure involvement in chapter activities.
• Organize outreach activities promoting the Alzheimer’s Association mission and corporate engagement.
• Represent the Association at events and manage Walk-specific social media; pursue professional growth.
• Other duties as assigned.
