Job summary

Vertvista Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai is seeking a Project Engineer to Own end-to-end execution of assigned green wall, facade and irrigation projects—from drawing and BOQ handover through fabrication, installation, testing, handover and final billing.

The role is an engineering and execution position. Plant selection and horticulture inputs are managed by in-house teams. Based in Mumbai, daily site movement is required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 years of site execution experience in interior fit-out, civil, facade, MEP or fabrication-led contracting.
• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to read and mark up AutoCAD drawings; strong Excel skills for BOQ, measurement and reconciliation.
• Proven ability to handle corporate clients, PMCs and general contractors independently.
• Based in Mumbai, willing to travel to sites daily and outstation when required.

Responsibilities

• Study drawings, BOQs and work orders; prepare material take-offs, measurement sheets and quantity reconciliation.
• Plan and drive site execution — manpower deployment, daily progress, and sequencing with the main contractor, PMC and interior fit-out agencies.
• Supervise fabrication and installation of MS/SS structures, anchoring and fixing systems, cable-net and trellis facade systems, FRP and metal planters, and green wall framing and panels.
• Verify site dimensions before fabrication; coordinate shop drawings and mark-ups with the design team and consultant.
• Coordinate procurement with the purchase team; inspect all incoming material against specification, dimension and quantity before acceptance.
• Execute, test and commission irrigation and allied plumbing infrastructure — tanks, pumps, pipelines, drip lines, drainage, waterproofing and liners — and hand over automation controls in working condition.
• Prepare and submit client documentation: method statements, ITP, HIRA, material approval requests, progress reports and site MoM.
• Track project cost against budget; identify deviations, extra items and variations and raise them in time.
• Prepare RA bills and the final bill with the QS team; close snag lists and complete handover documentation.
• Update Zoho Projects daily with tasks, progress, photographs and issues.
• Enforce site safety, EHS compliance and housekeeping as per client site requirements.

Vertvista Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a biophilic design and commercial landscaping company operating across Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Gujarat. We design, engineer and install green walls, green facades, planter systems, FRP planters and irrigation infrastructure for corporate offices, developers and institutional campuses.

Role Purpose

Own the end-to-end execution of assigned projects — from drawing and BOQ handover through fabrication, installation, testing, handover and final billing — delivered on time, within budget and to specification. This is an engineering and execution role. Plant selection, plant health and all horticulture inputs are handled by Vertvista’s in-house agriculture and horticulture team.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• 6 years of site execution experience in interior fit-out, civil, facade, MEP or fabrication-led contracting.

• Practical knowledge of MS/SS fabrication, welding and anchoring details, waterproofing, and plumbing pipework.
• Proven ability to handle corporate clients, PMCs and general contractors independently.
• Strong billing, documentation and site record discipline.
• Based in Mumbai, willing to travel to sites daily and outstation when required.

Good to Have

• Facade, glazing, cladding or structural steel installation experience.
• High-rise podium, terrace or rooftop project execution.
• Exposure to IGBC / LEED site documentation.
• MS Project, Primavera or Zoho Projects.

Location & Reporting

Based at the Mumbai (Powai) office with daily site movement. Reports to the Project Manager / Director – Projects.
