Qualifications

Hours & Availability

20 hours per week, 9 months per year (Ogden School District K‑12)

Job Summary

Will provide tutoring to students utilizing the University of Utah Reading Clinic (UURC) model (training will be provided). This position provides one‑on‑one tutoring support to students in K‑12 within Ogden School District. This is a High Impact Educational Experience (HIEE) as defined by Weber State University. HIEEs help students understand the worlds in which they live and disciplinary approaches for analyzing those worlds, developing critical thinking, communication skills and a commitment to diversity, social justice and community well‑being. The experience is academic and may or may not be granted credit. This position is not considered university employment for the purposes of this program.

Physical Requirements

Ability to receive detailed information with or without assistance. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or consistently to move objects, including the human body. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing only occasionally if ever.
