Job summary

Providence Oyster Bar, a Providence, RI-based dining venue on Federal Hill, is recruiting for waitstaff/servers. The role involves delivering exceptional guest service, taking and serving orders, and staying knowledgeable about menu offerings.

Team members should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and must be 18+ to serve alcohol in Rhode Island. Benefits include shift meals, health coverage for full-time staff, and paid time off under Rhode Island Sick and Safe Leave.

Qualifications

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Take, prepare and serve orders in a timely manner.
• Know and communicate food and beverage offerings.
• Be aware of allergies and ensure information is relayed to the Kitchen.
• Maintain clean, organized server stations and common areas.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
• Have ServSafe Alcohol certification or be able to obtain it.
• Comply with Rhode Island alcohol serving regulations (18+).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests.
• Take orders, coordinate with kitchen and servers, and serve meals and drinks.
• Be knowledgeable about food and beverage offerings to answer questions.
• Communicate allergies and dietary restrictions to kitchen staff.
• Keep server stations clean and organized throughout shifts.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced dining room.
• Maintain compliance with alcohol service policies and verify age where required.
• Other duties as assigned by the management.

The Providence Oyster Bar located on Federal Hill is looking for new team members!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Ensure customer orders are taken, prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Be knowledgeable food and beverage offerings.
• Be aware of special requests and food allergies. Ensure necessary information is communicated to the Kitchen team.
• Keep the server stations and restaurant common areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be Tips and/or ServSafe Alcohol certified.
• Uphold the company's policies and procedures including guidelines relating to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Please note, to serve alcohol in the state of Rhode Island, the server/bartender must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• All other assigned duties.
