Job summary

Green Hills Community is hiring a hospitality-focused Waitstaff Member in Ames, IA for a part-time role with roughly 12 hours per week. Shifts are Mondays, Fridays, Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., plus occasional Wednesday evenings and Saturday nights.

The position pays $15.50 per hour and supports dining operations and guest service. The role involves dishwashing, food service, and maintaining storage areas, with opportunities to assist catering events.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and follow oral instructions in English.
• Ability to set up and operate dish-washing equipment.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen by washing dishes and pots and perform general cleaning duties.
• Distribute and store clean dishes and utensils in appropriate locations with proper sanitation.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen areas.
• Receive deliveries and check stock in appropriate areas.
• Assist with catering functions as needed.

GreenHills Community is recruiting for a hospitality focused Waitstaff Member to join our team! This role performs a number of kitchen activities including serving our guests, general cleaning duties and maintaining cleanliness and organization of all storage areas including coolers, freezers, and non-food storage rooms.
