Job summary

JEFFREY MILLER HOSPITALITY is seeking seasonal event staff for assignments at the American Swedish Historical Museum in Philadelphia, PA 19145. Typical duties include setting up equipment, serving guests, and providing hospitality during cocktails and dinner.

Shifts run Fridays to Sundays during wedding season, about 10 hours from 1pm to midnight. Candidates must be able to travel to venues around Philadelphia, lift up to 20 lbs, and stand for long periods.

Requirements

• You should be able to drive yourself to our venues in and around Philadelphia, including Media, Wallingford, Paoli, and Audubon.
• Physical requirements include being able to lift 20 lbs and being on your feet for the duration of an average 9‑hour shift (there are breaks and time for staff to eat).

Schedule Expectations

• The wedding season runs until the end of November.
• There are events every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• A typical wedding shift is 10 hours, from 1pm to midnight.

Compensation

The typical shift is $150 – $200. While not guaranteed, you may receive cash tips at the end of a shift. We promote internally, so if you desire a more specialized position with a pay bump, there are opportunities available.
