Job summary

Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group is seeking seasonal front-of-house servers for weddings and events at Bellevue Hall, Wilmington, DE 19809. Work evenings on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the wedding season, with typical shifts lasting about 10 hours from 1pm to midnight.

Candidates must be able to drive to venues, lift up to 20 lbs, and remain on their feet for the full shift. The typical shift pays $150–$200, with occasional cash tips; there are opportunities for internal advancement

• Candidates must be able to drive to venues in Wilmington, DE and Kennett Square, PA.
• Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 20 lbs and being on your feet for the duration of a typical 9-hour shift.

• Unpacking equipment from our truck and setting up tables, chairs, etc.
• Serving guests by butlering and bussing food throughout cocktail hour and dinner.
• Providing hospitality by attending to guests’ needs.
• Cleanup, breakdown, and packing of our equipment used during the event.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Providing hospitality by attending to guests’ needs.
• Cleanup, breakdown, and packing of our equipment used during the event.

Requirements

• You should be able to drive yourself to our venues in Wilmington, DE & Kennett Square, PA.
• Physical requirements include being able to lift 20 lbs and being on your feet for the duration of an average 9-hour shift (there are breaks and time for staff to eat).

Schedule Expectations

• The wedding season runs until end of November.
• There are events every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• A typical wedding shift is 10 hours, from 1pm to midnight.

The typical shift is $150 - $200. Although it’s not guaranteed, you’ll often receive cash tips from the client at the end of a shift. We promote internally, so if you desire a more specialized position with a pay bump, there are opportunities available.
