Department of Labor and Workforce Development in Fairbanks is seeking a Wage-Hour Technician to ensure prevailing wage compliance on public construction projects. The role conducts payroll audits, on-site inspections, and reviews Notices of Award/Completion while assisting users of the LSS Online Filing Services.

The position emphasizes training, benefits, and a collaborative work environment within the General Government Unit, Range 12, with travel across the state as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months of advanced clerical experience or substituted by post-secondary education.
• Applicant must be Alaska resident and have a valid driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure prevailing wage requirements are followed and employees are paid properly on public construction projects.
• Conduct audits of certified payrolls and on-site inspections of construction projects.
• Review and approve Notices of Award and Notices of Completion; provide technical assistance for LSS Online Filing Services; educate employers on responsibilities.
