Job summary

Seagate Technology in Normandale, United States is seeking a Development Engineer - Early Career to support wafer-processing operations on a 12-hour off-shift schedule. The role offers exposure to deposition, etch, CMP, and photolithography, with cross-team collaboration to reduce cycle time and scrap.

You will work closely with engineers on the factory floor, analyze data, troubleshoot process issues, and grow professionally in a fast-paced development program.

Qualifications

• Exposure to semiconductor processes such as lithography, etch, plating, film deposition or metrology.
• Familiarity with coding or scripting for data analysis and automation
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or related field

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain processes for our latest designs during off-shift hours.
• Gain exposure to a broad range of cleanroom technologies, including deposition, etch, CMP and photolithography.
• Apply problem-solving techniques to address operational issues and optimize wafer flows.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and specialists from diverse backgrounds.
• Investigate root causes of process failures and coordinate experiments.
• Engage in hands-on troubleshooting on the factory floor.
