Seagate Technology in Normandale, United States, seeks a Wafer Process Engineering Technician IV on D Shift to support UTP production and RD processing in thin-film head manufacturing. Qualifications

• At least 5 years of technician or manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of thin-film wafer processing and related engineering principles.
• Demonstrated independent troubleshooting of complex wafer/process issues across multiple manufacturing areas.
• Experience using tool log viewers, SPC platforms, and engineering dashboards to analyze data.
• AA/AAS degree or equivalent technical experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialized technical and sustaining support for UTP production and RD processing in Seagate's thin-film head manufacturing environment.
• Support wafer flow, GaAs wafer processing and qualification, manual RD operations, and first-line troubleshooting of UTP equipment and processes.
• Coordinate priorities and production flow across RD Admins, Operations, Engineering, and Materials; respond to abnormal conditions.
• Analyze tool logs, KPIV data, SPC results, and trends to identify root causes and determine next steps.
• Train and mentor technicians; provide concise shift passdowns and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Apply root-cause analysis and escalation guidelines for non-conforming wafers and process deviations.
