Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory invites applications for a W80-5 Engineering Group Leader. You will lead a professional/technical team in warhead development, delivering design, project management, certification, and production support across the W80-5 program.

The role may offer a hybrid schedule with some days in person and some remote work. The position requires DOE Q or TS clearance, a relevant engineering degree, and extensive experience in design and qualification work, with

Qualifications

• Active DOE Q-level clearance or Top Secret clearance at hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent.
• Significant experience with design engineering and qualification work.
• Subject matter knowledge of nuclear warhead engineering and product realization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical and administrative direction for group personnel.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff for the W80-5 program.
• Provide technical, safety, and security leadership and collaborate with project principals.
• Lead design reviews and monitor milestones; oversee corrective actions when needed.
