Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM and Livermore, CA seeks an experienced R&D S&E, Electrical Engineer to support electrical system design, specifications, and interfaces for the W80-5 program. Responsibilities include defining design activities, testing, data analysis, and collaboration with multiple design agencies.

Required are a bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5 years of experience or equivalent, and an active DOE Q-level security clearance.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and engineering or scientific experience.
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent DOD Top Secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define, review, and represent electrical design activities across the system, including flight tests, lab tests, and system- and component-level testing.
• Support investigation and troubleshooting anomalies in multi-functional teams.
• Team with other design agencies to plan, execute, and analyze data from advanced experiments.
• Generate and provide technical review of procedures, process, and reports.
• Analyze system and/or subsystem architectures.
• Develop detailed understanding of requirements and ensure maturation for specific systems.
• Provide technical consultation and analysis on critical design elements.
• Integrate and test system and subassemblies.
• Plan and execute testing for technical basis activities.
• Derive, reconcile, and track requirements.
• Present at technical design reviews and programmatic meetings.
• Represent Sandia on multi-organization project teams.
