Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) seeks a seasoned leader to manage the Advanced Systems Development Group (Q-18) onsite in Los Alamos, NM. You will direct teams focused on warhead systems engineering, nuclear explosive package engineering, and future system architectures, coordinating with LANL organizations to deliver programs meeting national security needs.

Qualifications

• Record of leadership in nuclear weapons program elements and projects.
• Experience leading technical programs, advocacy, and strategic planning.
• Ability to collaborate across DoW, NNSA, and LANL partners.
• Commitment to health, safety, and security of classified information.
• Knowledge of LANL financial, project controls, and procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Advanced Systems Development Group (Q-18) and direct staff.
• Coordinate with LANL organizations to deliver systems/products for national security needs.
• Develop roadmaps and long-range budgets for weapon systems programs.
• Represent LANL in meetings with NNSA, DoW, and other labs and sites.
• Provide programmatic leadership and strategic planning for technology development.
