Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a VTC Field Support Specialist (Level 1) in Columbia, MD, to install, configure, operate, and maintain Video Teleconferencing systems and end-user devices at customer sites. This role demands hands-on technical support, field maintenance, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph, a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience or an associate degree with 2 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED plus at least 4 years of hands-on technical/field support experience.
• Associate degree in a relevant technical field plus at least 2 years of relevant technical experience.
• VTC expertise in installing, configuring, repairing, and troubleshooting VTC systems and peripherals.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VTC devices, codecs, displays, and AV subsystems.
• Deploy, maintain, and repair end-user computing devices and peripherals.
• Perform routine hardware diagnostics, software updates, and preventive maintenance at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents related to end-user equipment and desktop software applications.
• Provide clear, professional technical support and remote troubleshooting to end users.
• Interpret manuals and wiring diagrams to perform field installations and repairs.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and adherence to service standards.
