Salary Range: $54,000 – $65,000 / year (dependent on experience, education, and skill set)

About the Role

Seeking a dedicated VTC Field Support Specialist (Level 1) to deliver hands‑on technical support, field maintenance, and endpoint operations for enterprise communication environments in Columbia, MD.

In this role, you will install, configure, operate, and maintain Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems, integrated audio/visual subsystems, and end-user hardware at customer and field sites. You will provide frontline diagnostics and troubleshooting for both hardware and software, resolve connectivity and device issues, support remote and on‑site users, and ensure seamless daily operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, operate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VTC devices, codecs, displays, and integrated audio/visual conferencing subsystems.
• Deploy, maintain, and repair end-user computing devices and peripherals (workstations, thin clients, network cards, monitors, printers, VoIP phones, and radios).
• Perform routine hardware diagnostics, software updates, and preventive maintenance at customer facility locations.
• Diagnose and resolve technical incidents related to end-user equipment and desktop software applications.
• Provide clear, professional technical support and remote troubleshooting assistance to end users.
• Interpret and apply technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute field installations and repairs.
• Ensure all customer support interactions maintain high satisfaction and adhere to established service standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma / GED plus at least 4 years of hands‑on technical/field support experience, OR
• Associate degree in a relevant technical field plus at least 2 years of relevant technical experience.
• VTC Expertise: Demonstrated technical skill in installing, configuring, repairing, and troubleshooting VTC systems and peripherals.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system schematics, and architectural drawings.
• Systems Familiarity: Basic familiarity with Active Directory user accounts, group policies, and enterprise security practices.
• Communication & Independence: Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with cross‑functional technical teams.
