Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Ductless Technical Specialist for the Upper Midwest region. The role focuses on post-sales support for VRF and ductless systems, working closely with contractors and the internal team to ensure proper installation and startup at customer sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HVAC installation or service, strong public speaking skills, and the ability to travel within the territory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of HVAC installation, service and/or troubleshooting.
• VRF experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of construction including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Must be able to travel throughout the assigned territory; home base near Chicagoland preferred but flexible within Upper Midwest.
• Excellent public speaking and presenting experience is required.
• Field-based role with daily travel and possible overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in VRF/Ductless post-sales product success.
• Monitor and measure process metrics to meet post-sales ductless needs, including startup.
• Investigate concerns, advise corrective action, and communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Provide technical product sales training to area office personnel and customers as required.
• Conduct field training for customers in installation and troubleshooting of VRF and Ductless products.
• Troubleshoot VRF/Ductless products and assist customers in startup and commissioning.
• Build consultative relationships with owners and contracting customers.
• Support area office performance by coaching sales personnel in VRF product sales and customer support.
• Administer warranty processes and all post-sales activity for ductless business.
