Job summary

Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe seeks a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to provide case management, vocational guidance, and employment-related support to individuals with disabilities. You will develop IPEs, coordinate services with partners, and help consumers achieve employment and independence goals with strict confidentiality.

The role requires knowledge of disabilities, VR processes, and cross-border work.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Human Services or Social Services or related field; three months experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of the Akwesasne community.
• Ability to cross the international border.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management, vocational guidance, and employment-related support services to individuals with disabilities.
• Develop Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) and coordinate services with community partners.
• Maintain regular contact with consumers and schedule monthly appointments.
• Liaise with outside agencies and school staff to support transition from high school to work/college.
• Keep accurate consumer files and ensure confidentiality at all times.
