Job summary

ServiceSource seeks a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to guide individuals with disabilities toward competitive employment in the least restrictive environment. The role covers intake, plan development, placement services, and consumer choice throughout the VR process.

Responsibilities include developing employment plans, coordinating services, partnering with schools and employers, and maintaining case information in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation counseling theories and practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collect, organize and analyze medical and psychological data.
• Ability to develop individualized vocational rehabilitation programs and assess test results.

Responsibilities

• Rehabilitate eligible applicants and determine eligibility.
• Write and initiate Individualized Plans for Employment.
• Coordinate VR services from intake to placement and follow-up.
• Develop employer contacts and liaison with local employers.
• Maintain case records and document rehabilitation process in compliance with laws.
