Great Lakes Inter‑Tribal Council in Spooner, Wisconsin is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services for Native Americans with disabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, Human Services, Social Work or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in human services.
• Experience with a Native American Tribal organization and/or not-for-profit desirable.

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility of Native Americans to participate in vocational rehabilitation. Communicate eligibility to prospective clients.
• Provide ineligible individuals with alternative resource suggestions and complete necessary documentation.
• Develop and manage caseload in vocational and rehabilitation services including counseling, planning, evaluations and job placement follow-up.
• Gather, review and analyze client medical, psychological, and vocational information; arrange for evaluations as necessary.
• Develop and implement an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) in cooperation with clients and coordinate services with other agencies.
