Verso Recruitment Group is seeking a Field Applications Engineer with VPX expertise to support aerospace, defence, and high-performance embedded computing customers in the Los Angeles area. You will bridge engineering and end users, guiding system integration, delivering demos, and providing on-site technical assistance.

Travel to customer sites across the LA region and nationwide as needed; diagnose hardware and software issues in the field, and produce clear documentation and integration

Qualifications

• Experience with VPX architectures, modules, and backplanes.
• Strong background in high-speed embedded systems, SBCs, chassis management, and ruggedised computing.
• Background in aerospace, defence, or mission-critical embedded systems.
• Ability to diagnose complex hardware/software issues in the field.
• Confident communicator able to translate technical detail into practical guidance.
• Experience supporting customers, integrators, or engineering teams in a field or applications role.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on technical support for VPX system integration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and on-site support.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to relay customer feedback and influence product improvements.
• Support pre-sales activities with technical insight, system architecture guidance, and VPX expertise.
• Produce clear documentation, application notes, and integration guides.
• Travel to customer sites across the LA region and occasionally nationwide.
