Job summary

Concurrent Inc. is seeking a Field Application Engineer to engage with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to define and use our rugged VPX-based systems.

You will lead an application engineering team to ensure prompt, expert technical support for our customers, with travel to sites as needed. The role combines front-line technical delivery with team leadership in a fast-paced, office-based environment in the US, including travel on short notice.

The Role

Reporting into the Technical Support Director, as a Field Application Engineer, you will be interfacing with our customers, project managers, and their engineering teams to assist in the definition and use of our solutions such as our single-board computers or systems.

You will also act as a team leader working closely with other application engineers to ensure that prompt and proper technical support is provided to our customers.

What will I be delivering?

This role will consist of two major functions:

• Face-to-face customer support acting as a technical expert.
• Team leader to help strengthen the team in our US office.

This is a fast-paced role where it is critical to be commercially aware as well as customer focused and will be an office-based role with travel to customer sites at short notice.

• Technical knowledge of VPX and its ecosystem for deployable ruggedized systems.
• Technical knowledge of Linux, Windows & VxWorks.
• Embedded System assembly and integration.
