Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a Lead VPK Teacher in Florida to guide early learners through engaging activities and mentor fellow teachers. You will plan lessons, assess progress and create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports each child’s development.

You will lead classroom management, implement curriculum, and stay current with licensing guidelines and VPK program requirements, while building strong relationships with families to promote student achievement and center success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Able to meet state requirements for education and childcare center requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care: promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in your class.
• Lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.
• Communicate with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.

The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:

• Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• CDA, Associates degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
