Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Lead VPK Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct a class of 4-year-olds, aligning with VPK requirements and company standards. You’ll manage classroom activities, mentor other teachers, and foster partnerships with families to support each child’s growth.

Ideal candidates will hold a CDA or higher in education, a Florida Child Care Professional Certificate, and experience leading a preschool classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a preschool classroom.
• Ability to create engaging educational lessons for 4-year olds.
• Familiarity with state licensing guidelines for VPK programs.

Responsibilities

The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:

• Create! Develop fun,interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool childreninyour class.
• Call the shots! Take the lead onclassroom managementand curriculum implementation,plusbe an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and VPK program requirements.
• Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.

Wewant energetic, dependable, passionate individualswhoare at least 18 andhave:

• CDA, Associates degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
