Job summary

Learning Care Group in Florida is seeking a Lead VPK Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct 4-year-olds in alignment with VPK requirements. You will mentor fellow teachers and develop engaging lesson experiences while ensuring compliance with licensing and center standards.

The role emphasizes building effective relationships with families, promoting child achievement, and contributing to a positive, energetic preschool environment that supports growth and development.

Qualifications

• CDA, Assoc. degree or higher in education or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Must meet state education requirements and center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Create fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow teachers.
• Care for social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children.
• Call the shots: lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, and be an expert on licensing guidelines and program requirements.
• Communicate: build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement and center success.

The VPK, Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.

As a Lead VPK Teacher, you’ll:
