Job summary

Learning Care Group is hiring a VPK Assistant Teacher to support early childhood education for 4-year-olds under the supervision of the Lead Teacher.

You will follow licensing guidelines, engage with families, and create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities as part of our supportive team. Training and credential assistance are provided to grow your career within our network.

Qualifications

• Associates in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related or an active CDA in Preschool.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
• Ability to meet state requirements for education and center requirements.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Instructing 4-year olds based on needs of each child and program requirements under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
• Follow licensing guidelines, company standards and grant program requirements to ensure daily care of every child in the classroom.
• Develop ability to observe, assess, plan for children, and communicate with families.
• Complete training on child care, preschool and development topics and implement curriculum to create fun, interactive learning experiences.

The Voluntary Pre-kindergarten Education Program, VPK, prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child's development. The VPK Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
