Sompo Holdings, Inc. in the North America Property Team is seeking a VP, Underwriting Support Manager. You will lead a team of managers and underwriting associates, establish workflows, collaborate with underwriting, CAT team, claims, and audits, and drive premium bookings.

The role can be based in multiple U.S. offices (New York, Chicago, Alpharetta, San Francisco or Los Angeles) and requires strong leadership, Guidewire PolicyCenter experience, and excellence in communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of managerial experience in underwriting support or related area.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of managers and underwriting associates with hiring, training, and performance management.
• Establish workflows to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with underwriting, CAT, claims, and audits to ensure effective support.
• Oversee monthly premium bookings and overdue premium processes.
