Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Talent Acquisition (Lateral Recruiter) to join the Investments and Wealth Talent Acquisition Team. The role is hybrid with locations in New York City, Pittsburgh or Boston.

As a senior individual contributor, you will lead end-to-end lateral recruiting for mid- to senior-level roles, translating workforce plans into hiring strategies, and building robust candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals and niche networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/Business/ Psychology or related field required
• 8–10 years in talent acquisition with focus on lateral hiring
• Proven experience as senior IC managing complex requisitions and advising leaders
• Experience in direct sourcing, market mapping, talent communities, referrals
• Familiarity with structured interviewing and inclusive hiring; regulated environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lateral recruiting for mid- to senior-level roles
• Partner with hiring leaders and HR Business Partners on hiring strategies and forecasts
• Build candidate pipelines via direct sourcing, referrals, talent communities and networks
• Manage structured interview processes, offers, and pre-boarding handoffs
• Advise stakeholders through intake sessions and hiring readouts using market data
• Track recruiting metrics and drive improvements in time-to-fill and quality of hire
• Maintain compliant, audit-ready recruiting practices with HR operations and compliance
