Job summary

Ayres Associates is seeking an entrepreneurial, collaborative leader for the role of Vice President of Structural Services. This senior position oversees structural design for buildings and transportation structures, and bridge inspection services across Ayres.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering or related field required; PE license or CBI certification required.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in structural services, consulting, and leadership.
Proven leadership in growing teams, managing staff development, and organizational growth.
Strong strategic planning, client relationship management, and business development skills.
Excellent financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and project financial management.
Ability to travel regularly to Ayres offices, clients, and industry events.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement an annual business plan for the structural service practice.
Collaborate with leadership to execute Ayres-wide strategic initiatives.
Identify opportunities to expand services, geographic reach, and market share.
Monitor industry trends, competition, and emerging opportunities.
Represent Ayres at industry conferences and client events to build brand visibility.
Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial performance metrics.
Monitor revenue growth, backlog, utilization, and resource planning.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a geographically diverse team of structural professionals.
Build an environment of collaboration, transparency, respect, innovation, and accountability.
Facilitate leadership and team meetings and cross-unit communication.
