Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a Vice President of Strategic Planning & Business Development to lead the enterprise strategic plan and develop large-scale business cases for new services, partnerships, and growth opportunities.

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the role guides senior leadership and oversees strategy execution across multiple service lines. The position requires a masterful mix of healthcare strategy, financial acumen, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred; minimum 10 years in healthcare leadership.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Experience developing strategic plans, business cases, and multiyear programs.
• Ability to collaborate with executive leadership and board.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Strategy Officer in multi-year strategic plan development.
• Lead creation of large-scale business cases for new services and partnerships.
• Oversee strategic investment service lines and market opportunities.
• Coordinate enterprise master facility planning and growth initiatives.
• Maintain Balanced Score Card and oversee program reviews.
• Engage senior leaders and external stakeholders for alignment.
• Lead a team of direct and indirect reports in planning and execution.
