Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a high-impact Vice President of Strategy & Business Development to shape initiatives across its Specialty businesses. You will lead a seasoned strategy team, drive growth opportunities, and partner with hospital networks and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

The role requires strong strategic thinking, people leadership, and deep biopharma services expertise. Based in Dublin, OH with relocation support; expected travel is around 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Master's strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategy roles.
• Experience in Biopharma Services or related pharma functions.
• Strong understanding of HUB services, RWE, 3PL, and related offerings.
• Healthcare provider side experience preferred.
• Consulting experience within healthcare, life sciences, or pharma manufacturers preferred.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and analytical methods.
• Understanding of the strategic landscape and competitive environment for specialty pharma.
• Travel expectation: 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy development for the Specialty businesses and align across strategies.
• Create best-in-class content to support strategic recommendations.
• Anticipate evolution of industry landscape and align stakeholders.
• Identify gaps in portfolio and determine scalable capabilities.
• Create business cases with market analysis, value proposition, economics, and launch plans.
• Proactively prospect and manage a pipeline of strategic opportunities.
• Drive M&A processes and post-integration oversight with Corporate Development.
• Advise leaders across Specialty businesses on strategic direction and objectives.
• Lead Strategy and Business Development team; hire, coach, and develop staff.
