Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Strategy & Business Development to shape and advance strategic initiatives across upstream and downstream Specialty businesses. The role reports to the SVP and involves leading a seasoned strategy team to drive enterprise growth and long-term value creation.

The position is based in Dublin, OH with relocation support available. It requires deep Biopharma Services expertise, strategic thought leadership, and strong people leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in strategy roles preferred.
• Experience in Biopharma Services or related pharmaceutical functions preferred.
• Strong understanding of purchasing decisions for HUB services, RWE, 3PL and related offerings.
• Prior healthcare provider side experience preferred.
• Consulting experience within healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical manufacturers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy development for Specialty businesses serving pharma manufacturers and provider offices.
• Develop best-in-class content to support strategic recommendations.
• Anticipate industry evolution and align strategic direction accordingly.
• Identify gaps in the portfolio and determine scalable capabilities.
• Create business cases including market analysis, value proposition, and economic models.
• Proactively identify and maintain a pipeline of strategic opportunities.
• Drive M&A processes from the business unit perspective and ensure post-integration sustainability.
• Advise leaders across Specialty businesses and align strategic objectives.
• Lead the Strategy and Business Development team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
