Capstone Partners is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its Special Situations Investment Banking (SSIB) practice in Chicago, with options for New York or Boston. The role covers debtor- and creditor-side opportunities, including distressed M&A, private financings, and restructurings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of investment banking experience, including at least 3 years of special situations/corporate restructuring.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage junior professionals.
• Proven deal execution experience in special situations/restructuring transactions.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to develop financial models using Excel.
• FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses (where required), willingness to travel.

• Lead execution on creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A.
• Prepare and analyze historical and projected financial information.
• Coordinate and perform business due diligence.
• Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing pitches.
