Job summary

Barclays seeks a Securitized Products CRE Attorney at VP level in New York to support the Americas team on CMBS, CRE loans, and related securitization transactions. You will advise on offering materials, underwriting agreements, and regulatory issues, and coordinate with Risk and Compliance.

You will work with transaction committees and business personnel across Securitized Products, staying current on securities laws and risk retention requirements to manage legal risk for the bank.

Qualifications

• US securities and securitization expertise required.
• Regulatory risk management skills.
• Experience in securitization coverage areas and legal practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on offering materials, underwriting/purchase agreements, and related documents.
• Advise Barclays transaction committees in the Americas.
• Coordinate with Risk and Compliance and other partners.
• Stay updated on securities laws and regulatory developments.
• Support regulatory reporting and risk management for securitization activities.
• Develop training on legal and regulatory requirements.
