Job summary

Santander seeks a CIB Securitization Senior Legal Counsel, Executive Director, to lead day-to-day drafting and negotiation of securitization and structured finance documents in the U.S. market, working with the Securitized Products Group and business partners.

The role requires a J.D. and bar admission, 8–12 years of securitization/structured products experience, and the ability to manage complex matters with minimal escalation; NYC-based is preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar admission in good standing in the practicing state.
• 8–12 years of securitization/structured products experience.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills for complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day negotiation and drafting of deal documents for securitization transactions.
• Advise business on US securities laws and banking matters affecting securitized products.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders as a primary legal contact for CIB Securitized Products.
• Manage complex, precedent-setting legal issues with minimal escalation.
