Job summary

Citi is seeking a senior CRE Finance Banker in New York to originate, structure, underwrite, and close complex commercial real estate transactions for institutional clients. You will collaborate with senior bankers, product partners, investors, and sponsors to deliver innovative financing solutions across the capital stack.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in CRE finance or investment banking.
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills are required.
• Experience with real estate financing products and underwriting processes.
• Strong knowledge of debt sizing, cash flow analysis and market assessments.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, with client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Screen, size, structure, underwrite, originate, and close a broad range of CRE financing products (CMBS, mortgage loans, mezzanine/preferred debt, etc.).
• Lead transaction execution and drive growth of the CRE Finance franchise.
• Underwrite transactions through cash flow, collateral, sponsor evaluation, and market analysis.
• Mentor and oversee analysts and associates on deal execution.
• Draft and review offering materials and debt-related documents.
• Review third‑party diligence reports and ensure risk controls and Citi policies are followed.
