Job summary

Qualifications

• US tax-technical experience in a top-tier law firm, investment bank or similar organization.
• JD degree required; LLM in Tax valued.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and comfort with Excel.
• Holistic, creative problem-solving approach grounded in technical rules and uncertainties.
• Team-oriented, self-starting, and mature mindset with a willingness to grow.

Responsibilities

• Structure, execute and manage complex transactions to provide material tax and/or capital benefits for Barclays.
• Identify strategic opportunities contributing to post-tax profit and capital.
• Develop, implement and manage all aspects of transactions with strong governance and controls.
• Engage with counterparties, external counsel, and external accountancy firms on tax matters.
• Develop deal models detailing terms, cash flows, accounting, tax and economic benefits over the life cycle.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organization to obtain approvals.
