Job summary

Asian University for Women Support Foundation (AUWSF) in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Vice President for Scholarships to lead AUWSF’s fundraising strategy and help reach an annual target of about US$15 million.

The VP will expand the U.S. donor base, cultivate major gifts from individuals, foundations, and institutions, and work with the President & CEO and boards to build a strong, sustainable pipeline. The position is based in Cambridge and requires regular in-person work.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of progressively responsible fundraising or advancement experience.
• Significant experience in major gifts and building donor pipelines.
• Proven track record of cultivating, soliciting, and closing six-figure gifts.
• Experience securing seven-figure gifts is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute AUWSF’s scholarships fundraising strategy.
• Build and manage a portfolio of major prospects, from cultivation through solicitation and stewardship.
• Personally solicit and close six- and seven-figure gifts and expand AUW’s U.S. donor base.
• Collaborate with the President & CEO, Board members, and senior supporters to leverage networks and advance major gift opportunities.
• Lead high-level donor cultivation and events hosted by Board members and supporters.
• Provide leadership to development colleagues and coordinate with AUW and AUWSF teams internationally on priorities.
