Job summary

United Way of Massachusetts Bay seeks a Vice President of Foundation and Grant Relations to grow and diversify a portfolio of public and private funders, advancing equity-driven economic justice. The role partners with senior leadership to create grant strategies, steward major donors, and co-create funding concepts with funders and UWMB staff.

The position requires building local and national relationships, coordinating cross-department efforts, and guiding content experts to align with UWMB's

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in grants development with proposal submission, implementation, reporting and stewardship.
• Track record of securing and managing large multi-year grants (six-seven figures).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a team on a Development team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute grant funding plans to resource community impact work.
• Steward existing donors and build new grant relationships to meet revenue goals.
• Research prospects, review calls for proposals, and identify funding opportunities aligned with Development goals.
• Coordinate with Grant Finance, Development, and Community Impact staff to ensure efficient pre- and post-award processes.
• Maintain knowledge of United Way impact areas, goals, and organization-wide strategies.
• Manage outside vendors related to grant development and oversee grant-related relationships.
• Maintain grant management databases and ensure timely proposal submissions and reports.
