Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a VP-level leader to transform sanctions screening measurement, analysis, and automation. You will bridge analytics with operations, governance, and compliance to deliver actionable insights and executive-ready narratives.

You will own enterprise metrics, drive KPI definitions, monitor data quality, and guide performance improvements across the screening workflow. This role merges data science, governance, and business impact at a global financial leader.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence.
• Banking operations domain expertise, with AML/sanctions/fraud analytics experience.
• Demonstrated data stewardship & controls mindset with data quality controls and lineage.
• Proven communication and stakeholder management to translate analytics into leadership-ready narratives.
• Experience with big data platforms (Hadoop, Snowflake, AWS data lakes) and Advanced SQL.
• Proficiency in analytics tools: Alteryx, Python and/or R.
• Data visualization & reporting: Tableau and/or Power BI to deliver dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise metrics framework for sanctions screening, including KPI scorecards and indicators.
• Establish governance standards for metric definitions, data lineage, assumptions and auditability; lead recurring stakeholder forums.
• Analyze alert/case/disposition/investigation data to identify drivers of false positives.
• Produce trend and root-cause analyses on volumes, hit/true match rates, backlog drivers; deliver data-driven tuning recommendations.
• Define, monitor, and evolve filter KPIs and monitor drift, queue health, and throughput.
• Map end-to-end sanctions workflow and identify bottlenecks; generate insights on cycle times and handoffs.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities with clear metrics.
• Build business cases for automation and partner with technology teams for analytics-enabled solutions.
• Design dashboards and recurring reporting for operational, risk/compliance and executive audiences.
